Instruction

The Gospel and the Believer (Core Seminar) | Sun., July 30th, Aug 13-27th | 8:45 AM | Alverno
The gospel not only saves us from the wrath of God, but it is also meant to motivate us to love and good deeds (Titus 3:1-8). We believe it is an essential concept for every Christian to grasp and strive to walk in the good of. This seminar, taught by Dan, aims to equip us to make gospel connections in our everyday lives such that we are empowered toward living as God’s people.

Marriage Cohort | Second Sundays of the Month | 3:30 - 5 PM | Parks Home
Marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts, but also one of life’s greatest challenges. Therefore, we want to encourage couples to pursue marriages that thrive by the power of the gospel for the glory of God. The “Marriage Cohort” training seminar meets every second Sunday from 3:30-5 PM. Childcare may be available (if this is needed please see a host). A couple may join the cohort at any time, but they are encouraged to commit to a full twelve cycle of sessions. Please note: homework is given; after all, marriage takes work! Please see Sam & Abby Park, or, Dan and Danica Allen for more details.

Discipleship Opportunities
Are you interested in being discipled or other ways of pursuing more intentional growth? Consider completing the Personal Development Assessment, available on the members' page of our website. Once submitted, an elder will reach out to review your responses and help you create a plan for growth. And in addition to other training ministries (e.g., Text Group, Training Seminars), we look forward to connecting you with one-on-one (Mentorship) or smaller group ("Growth Groups") discipleship opportunities with other members in the church. We encourage all members of CrossWay to fill out the Personal Development Assessment at least once each year.

Where We Stand in the EFCA
The EFCA seeks to address social movements and cultural trends that can create division among us. The following is an important statement made at the recent national conference by EFCA President, Kevin Kompelien.  This statement was approved by the EFCA Board of Directors and the EFCA Board of Ministerial Standing, the two boards elected by and accountable to the EFCA Conference, and affirmed by the EFCA District Superintendents. You can also read and download the statement online

In his classic work, The Cross of Christ, the late John Stott unpacks what the cross achieved, how it meets contemporary cultural assumptions and questions, and its practical significance for Christian living.

CrossWay Missionary Interviews (Church Theology Podcast)
Did you know that we have podcast episodes interviewing each of our church’s three missionaries? About a year and a half ago, Kirk sat down with the Barretts, the Salvianos, and Lafto church to have them share about their ministries and ways we as a church can regularly be praying for them. Take a listen!

Current Series - The Gospel According to Mark | The Unexpected King
According to Mark, Jesus is the coming King who is bringing God's kingdom. But the sort of King he is, and the sort of kingdom he brings, is quite unexpected. Jesus is a king who suffers and serves. And he calls his followers, the citizens of his kingdom, to do likewise—to walk in his way and carry their cross.
