Emptied, Now Exalted | Advent Series | December
This year for Advent we will explore the remarkable journey of Jesus as told in Philippians 2:5-11. Jesus emptied himself by becoming a human being for our sake to become exalted over all. This is a great series in which to invite unbelieving friends or family members. Invite cards with this year's theme are available at our Resource Table.

The Theology of the EFCA | Podcast episode with Greg Strand
What does the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) believe? What are the theological convictions that unite this broad collection of churches? Kirk is joined by Greg Strand, executive director of theology and credentialing for the EFCA, to discuss and exposit the EFCA’s Statement of Faith. As we hope you’ll see, this Statement of Faith is an articulation of nothing less than the core elements of gospel itself.
Habits of Grace (Core Seminar) | Sun., Oct 29th-Dec 17th | 8:45 AM | Alverno
Spiritual disciplines are those habits such as prayer, meditation, and fasting through which God’s people aim to grow in godliness. Although reading the book is recommended (reading schedule can be found here), we welcome your attendance regardless. And you can get that book for free as either an eBook or Audiobook.

The “Marriage Cohort” Training Seminar meets every second Sunday from 3:30-5 PM. Childcare is available. A couple may join the cohort at any time, but they are encouraged to commit to a full twelve-cycle of sessions. Please note: homework is given; after all, marriage takes work! Sermon Materials
Current Series - The Gospel According to Mark | The Unexpected King
According to Mark, Jesus is the coming King who is bringing God's kingdom. But the sort of King he is, and the sort of kingdom he brings, is quite unexpected. Jesus is a king who suffers and serves. And he calls his followers, the citizens of his kingdom, to do likewise—to walk in his way and carry their cross.
