Advent Book Recommendation
Advent is a time of preparing our hearts to celebrate the first coming of Christ Jesus, the Son of God, the one who "will save His people from their sins" (Mt. 1:21). The preaching series through Hebrews will pause to walk through the incarnation narratives in Luke. But if you'd like to continue meditating on Hebrews, Tim Chester has an Advent devotional which covers Hebrews 1:1-5:10, called Fixated. Learning From the Global Church | Sunday, November 30th | 8:45am-9:45am | Nursery classroom
A great way to encourage our faith is to hear accounts of God's grace to His people throughout redemptive history around the globe. Join us on the 5th Sundays of the month, prior to service, from 8:45am-9:45am, as we learn stories about our brothers and sisters who have served Christ in difficult places. We will meet in the nursery so children are welcome and the play area will be available.
CW Women’s Ministry & Milwaukee Rescue Mission | Dec. 11th, 12th & 13th | times vary
The Women's Ministry team is excited to offer a variety of volunteer opportunities at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission this December. Women, consider signing up to help wrap Christmas gifts for MRM residents (Thursday 12/11 from 9-11 am) or to support the Joy House staff for their Friday Fun Night (Friday, 12/12 from 6:45-8:30). Men, women, and youth ages 12+ are all invited to help serve dinner Saturday 12/13 from 3:45-6. See the sign up for more details and to secure your spot!

There will be a prayer meeting on Friday, November 7th from 7:30pm- 8:30pm at the Mathew’s of focus prayer for Crossway, our city, our state and nation, the world, Christmas & the New Year. All are welcome.

Joint Services with Vertical Church | Dec. 21st | 6-7 PM | Vertical Church-Wilson Senior Center
On December 21st, we will celebrate together the birth of Jesus with Vertical Church. Childcare will be provided up to age 5. We will have service at 10am on the 21st at Alverno as well.

Monthly Children's Material
This year, our children will be working through the New Testament in their The Biggest Story lessons. Additionally, this month they are memorizing Ephesians 2:8–10. Families are encouraged to talk about and practice the verse at home. Materials are available at the Resource Table for anyone else in the congregation who wants to memorize along with the children! Current Series - Hebrews: Everything-Give our all for the King over all : God knows we get tired in the race of faith and that temptations abound to shrink back and coast. Therefore, He gave us a book dedicated to helping us run with everything we have, empowered by fixing our eyes on Christ, who is better than, and over all. May the Great Shepherd of the sheep equip us for His mission as we work through the beautiful book of Hebrews (Heb. 13:21-22).
