No text group this Sunday, but join us in the new year, January 4th for our next meeting. Text Group is a weekly gatherings of individuals seeking to grow in their ability to read scripture. Text group is prior to service at 8:45am on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month.
Fostering Community Volunteer Opportunity
We have a new ministry partner with Fostering Community. They supports children in foster care and their families by surrounding them as a community through events, resources, tangible needs and community connections. The are putting on a Christmas event with the Bucks and need volunteers. Learn more about the event in this video. Sign up for the event is here.

There will be a prayer meeting on Friday, December 19th from 7:30pm- 8:30pm at the Mathew’s of focus prayer for Crossway, our city, our state and nation, the world, Christmas & the New Year. All are welcome. Ask Sue and Greg for directions.
Joint Services with Vertical Church | Dec. 21st | 6-7 PM | Vertical Church-Wilson Senior Center
On December 21st, we will celebrate together the birth of Jesus with Vertical Church. Childcare will be provided up to age 5. We will have service at 10am on the 21st at Alverno as well.

Monthly Children's Material
This year, our children will be working through the New Testament in their The Biggest Story lessons. Additionally, this month they are memorizing Ephesians 2:8–10. Families are encouraged to talk about and practice the verse at home. Materials are available at the Resource Table for anyone else in the congregation who wants to memorize along with the children! Advent Series - Stories of Faith
Faith has historically been a major theme of the Advent season. This is because we often follow the narratives of God's people as they wait for the first arrival of Christ with hope and joy. But we are also pointed forward to trust God's promises that Jesus will come again to consummate His kingdom. This year we'll follow the stories of faith as told by Luke, with hope that our faith will likewise be strengthened with patient longing as we wait for the second advent.
Current Series - Hebrews: Everything-Give our all for the King over all : God knows we get tired in the race of faith and that temptations abound to shrink back and coast. Therefore, He gave us a book dedicated to helping us run with everything we have, empowered by fixing our eyes on Christ, who is better than, and over all. May the Great Shepherd of the sheep equip us for His mission as we work through the beautiful book of Hebrews (Heb. 13:21-22).
