Elder Candidate | Matt Dohrmann
The elders are bringing forward Matt Dohrmann as a candidate for eldership. You can read here to learn more about our understanding of the Biblical office of eldership, as well as CrossWay’s particular process of elder training, screening, and appointment (see also our Constitution & ByLaws). At this time, we ask that you prayerfully consider Matt according to the qualifications given to us in Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Tim 3:1-7, and speak privately to existing elders about any questions or concerns you might have. Barring any changes, a congregational vote will eventually be held for his appointment.
Care Net Diaper Drive - Last Day: January 25th
We are having a diaper and needs drive for our partner ministry Care Net. Biggest needs include: size 4, 5, and 6 diapers & baby wipes. Gently used maternity clothes, clothes infant through 2T, or gently used infant or toddler toys and books. Items are being collected at the Resource Table all of January. Questions: see Sue Matthews. Monthly Children's Material
This year, our children will be working through the New Testament in their The Biggest Story lessons. Additionally, this month they are memorizing Ephesians 2:8–10. Families are encouraged to talk about and practice the verse at home. Materials are available at the Resource Table for anyone else in the congregation who wants to memorize along with the children! Current Series - Hebrews: Everything-Give our all for the King over all : God knows we get tired in the race of faith and that temptations abound to shrink back and coast. Therefore, He gave us a book dedicated to helping us run with everything we have, empowered by fixing our eyes on Christ, who is better than, and over all. May the Great Shepherd of the sheep equip us for His mission as we work through the beautiful book of Hebrews (Heb. 13:21-22).
